All Hail the New Surf Guitar Villains

The Band is Locked and Loaded

Surf Guitar Villains has made the transition from a recording project to a band. Our first step was to go from practices and open mikes to our first opening gig for money. The first show had rough spots, but it played like a unit.

With Bobby and Henry I think we now have the brain trust. Henry provides a bit of anchor to the sound in terms more than just playing -- Mr. Henry has a gestalt about the core heart of the band's sound. Henry tends to keep us grounded. He also wrote a very cool new piece we intend to get into the show -- Night Surf.

Bobby provides a ton of drive and punch to the sound that we really had not had before. That, and just plain stability and love of playing.

You ever look back in life and realize that you had something and did not appreciate what you had? The converse is realizing you have something special.

This trio of musical renegades is something special.

We also have our fine wingmen - Jerimy, Glenn, Steve, Ken and Larry -- present and past.

But this is *the* band.

Rock on, Surf Guitar Villains!
